Last year, the the Rutledge Corn Maze near Tumwater, Washington, went "Beastmode". This year, the maze's operators decided to dedicate it to the "Legion of Boom".

The maze opened Friday with another theme honoring the Seattle Seahawks. Last year, Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch was featured. This year, the Seahawks starting defensive backfield of Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Brandon browner and Richard Sherman - "The Legion of Boom" are immortalized in corn.

Maze owner Rick Rutledge and his staff worked with the Seahawks organization on the design. With the help of GPS, the corn was planted June 1 and took a couple of months to grow to its maze-worthy height.

In the past, the maze has been grown in honor of the late Alaska crab boat skipper Phill Harris of  "Deadliest Catch" and the characters Bella and Edward from the hit "Twilight" movies.
