The Naches Valley School District is considering arming some of their educators and administrative staff.

A public forum is planned for tonight (Monday) from 6-8 in Naches Valley Middle School cafeteria to discuss potential plans.

Superintendent Duane Lyons says the district's ultimate goal is to keep students and staff safe in case of an emergency. The district first explored the idea six years ago but delayed action until this year.
