A spoon full of sugar may help the medicine go down but back that up with the Stone’s “Brown Sugar” or Def Leopard’s “pour Some Sugar On Me” and the medicine might actually work better!

Researchers from  South Korea reviewed 97 studies that looked at a total of 9,147 participants. They found that overall, participants who listened to music in their trial rated their pain intensity about one point lower on a zero to ten scale after music sessions compared to those who did not listen to any music.

So maybe “ Music has charms to soothe the savage breast” after all.  Study author Jin Hyung Lee explains that music stimulates additional senses other than pain receptors, which attracts patients' attention, and relieves stress and anxiety with its soothing quality. (FOX)
