Murder Suspect In Court This Week To Face First Degree Murder Charge

A 23-year-old man arrested for last Monday's killing of 14-year-old Kabin Smith of Union Gap is expected to face a murder charge in Yakima County Superior Court this week. Luiz Barrera was arrested at about 3:30 Friday at a Yakima home by members of the Pacific Northwest Violent Offenders Task Force and Yakima Police. Barrera, who's sitting in the Yakima County Jail Today is charged with first degree murder for the drive by shooting death of Kabin Smith.
