A Grandview man appeared in court Monday to face first degree murder charges. Detectives believe he stabbed a man over the weekend. Detectives say a 12-year-old boy heard Santiago Santos arguing with Manuel Jaime right around 3 o'clock in the morning this past Saturday.
The boy heard Santos say he was going to stab Manuel and that he was "going to die fast."
He called police who arrived just minutes later, but it was too late. Investigators say Santos stabbed Jaime multiple times. Santos was found in a back bedroom covered in blood and was taken into custody.
Santos was originally charged with homicide but that has now been upgraded to murder one. His bail is set at one million dollars.
