Murder Suspect Arrested in Toppenish

A suspect wanted in the murder of Joshua Mathis in the parking lot of the Red
Apple Motel in Yakima has been arrested.  The City of Yakima's Violent Crimes Task force
arrested Angel Venegas at a residence in Toppenish.  The 27 year old Mathis was
found lying in the parking lot of the motel back in October, he later died in a Yakima
hospital. Vengegas was booked in the Yakima County Jail and faces a charge of
1st degree murder.
