• The 25th annual “Mural In A Day” event is Saturday in Toppenish.CEO of the Toppenish Chamber of Commerce Zack Door says for the first time in years the event will be held in downtown Toppenish's Pioneer Park, where visitors will find food booths, live music and artists painting the city's latest mural.

They’ll paint it on site then take it down piece by piece and carefully transport it to its final destination and get it up on the wall over there.

The mural of the downtown area in the early 1900s will be placed on the east side of the U & I Sugar Factory building when it is finished Saturday afternoon.

Door says "Mural In A Day" used to be held at the park, but moved to other locations and eventually lost its luster. Saturday’s event brings the action back to Pioneer Park.
