UPDATE FRIDAY : Multiple Vehicle Accident Closes I-90 Near Vantage

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) says the freeway is closed eastbound at milepost 115, and westbound at milepost 136.

The Washington State Patrol is reporting that the accident happened near the Vantage Bridge, just west of the Columbia River.  Authorities say that 24 vehicles were involved, 15 autos and 9 semi trucks. 11 injuries were reported.

Update Friday 7/18 6:00 a.m.

Eastbound lanes remain closed Friday, but will reopen later today. A  15 miledetour over the Old Vantage Highway will be maintained.
