A 42-year-old Moxee man faces burglary charges in Yakima County Superior Court this week after Yakima County sheriff's deputies caught him blue handed Friday in Terrace Heights.

At 8:50 Friday morning, deputies responded to an alarm call at a home on the 5000 block of North Sky Vista in Terrace Heights. When deputies got to the home, they saw no vehicles in the driveway, but when they checked around the home, they found a man walking away from a sliding glass back door that led into the home.

The man was notably wearing blue latex gloves and was quickly arrested. Deputies say they found prescription medication containers on the suspect with the name of the homeowner on them.

The suspects’ vehicle was parked a few blocks away, and his shoe prints indicated he had entered the property via a vacant field that led into the backyard of the residence, deputies reported.

He is being held in the Yakima County Jail today.
