A 44-year-old man from Oregon City died Saturday morning as he was preparing for the Northwest Nitro Nationals near Moxee. Authorities say Shane Donaca was testing his Banshee custom hill climb motorcycle after he changed a spark plug and adjusted the engine. He rode the cycle to an area west of the hill climb event when he hit a large rut in the road. It threw him over the handlebars and he died at the scene of a massive head injury. Donaca was not competing at the time of the accident.
