If you are driving somewhere this Memorial weekend you are not alone. According to AAA more than 37 million people are expected to travel this Memorial Day - the most since 2005.  And more people on the road means a greater potential for distracted driving and accidents.  Making matters worse is that 7-in-10 people engage in smartphone activities while driving according to a study released this week by AT&T. The report says nearly 4-in-10 smartphone users tap into social media while driving. Almost 3-in-10 surf the net. And surprisingly, 1-in-10 video chat. 7-in-10 people engage in smartphone activities while driving. The Washington State Traffic Safety Commission is working with police and state troopers through the end of the month searching for drivers who are speeding, not buckling up and not paying attention to the road.
