MOXEE, Wash. — Search and rescue teams are looking for a 50-year-old woman missing from her Moxee home since Monday afternoon.

Norma Gordon was reported missing by her husband about 10 p.m. Monday evening after he searched for several hours, according to news release from Yakima County Sheriff’s Sgt. Carl Hendrickson.

Neighbors last reported seeing Norma Gordon about 1:30 p.m. walking with her Chihuahua westbound on Postma Road near her home in the 200 block of Windy Ridge Lane, Hendrickson said.

The husband said his wife had no local friends or relatives and does not own a cellular phone, Hendrickson said.

She may be wearing blue pants or jeans, boots and a black hooded sweatshirt, as well as holding a blanket and her black dog. She is described at 5-foot-3, 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Deputies searched the neighborhoods and then called in the Yakima county Search and Rescue unit. As many as 14 searchers, including a canine unit, are on scene, Hendrickson said.

Those with information about Gordon’s location are asked to call the sheriff’s office at 509-574-2500.
