There is a successful outcome in the search for a hunter who went missing near White Pass. The 49-year-old hunter had been missing with his horse since Saturday.

Lance Chipman had left his base camp near White Pass. When he did not return, his friends reported him missing. Authorities say on Monday he was found at another camp miles from where he had been staying. Chipman told rescuers he got turned while on the trail after it got dark.  He got stranded when his horse bolted.

The Cashmere man told rescuers he eventually found his way to the Soda Springs camp. That is where a fellow hunter gave him a ride to the people who were looking for him.  Chipman was unhurt.  The horse has not been found.
