A large group of smart young women will be competing in the Miss Yakima County Pageant on Sunday at the 4th Street Theater next to Yakima's Capital Theater. The current Miss Yakima County Jocelyn Baca says the last year has been eye opening for her allowing her to open a lot of doors now and in the future. "I've been able to meet so many kids and do a lot with my platform working with Special Olympics. It's just been an incredible experience."
Baca is a student at Eastern Washington University who wants to work with kids. She and Miss Yakima County's Outstanding Teen Emily Spicer will be passing their crowns to the next Miss Yakima County and Outstanding Teen on Sunday. The event starts at 3:00 p.m.
