The Washington Civil War Association will be at Fort Simcoe  for their annual “Military Days” commemoration the first weekend in May. 

On Saturday, there will be Civil War battles at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.On Sunday, the battles will be at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.There will also be a special flag salute at 12:15 p.m. on Sunday. Historical presentations and demonstrations will be held at various times during the event.Camps close at 3:30 p.m.  A Washington State Parks Discover Pass is required.

Fort Simcoe was built in1856.It is located seven miles west of White Swan and is currently a beautiful state park which includes many original and reconstructed buildings. It is one of the best preserved 19th century military forts on the west coast.
