SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — For the first time since 2013, Microsoft has rolled out a major update for Office. And the new product includes features aimed at working the way people tend to work these days. The new versions of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook include a more collaboration tools — so people can share information and work together online. For example, in the word processing program, you can have a number of people edit the same Word document at once. As individuals add their thoughts and comments, they appear simultaneously on the screens of all those using the document — with the names of the collaborators highlighted on the fly. The new version of Office also integrates with Microsoft's Skype conferencing service and its Bing search engine.
