Crews continue to clean up in the aftermath of Saturday's fire, which destroyed about $500,000 worth of cardboard products.

The fire, reported at about 3 a.m. Saturday, also damaged power and fiber optic lines, and caused traffic detours in downtown Yakima.

The cardboard that burned was stored on hundreds of pallets on two lots off of North Second Avenue between West A Street and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.

Pacific Power reported that about 1,400 customers lost power due to damaged power lines, while damage to fiber optic lines caused outages for U.S. Cellular and Charter Communications customers.

The Yakima fire department continues to investigate the fire's cause.
