Michele Taylor Resign From East School District, But Keeps Benefits For Now

P.E. Teacher Michele Taylor has resigned from the East Valley School District. The district's attorney says Taylor got a termination letter.

Now she waived her right to a hearing after reaching a deal with the district.

She resigned with the promise that if her suspension was overturned she would be reinstated.

Taylor is currently appealing the suspension of her teaching certificate.

She is now off paid leave and is being asked to pay back several months of salary.

Taylor will be allowed to keep her benefits until a decision comes on her appeal.
