Yakima County officials have announced that the second public meeting regarding the Ahtanum Creek Flood Hazard Mitigation Grant Program scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 9th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the West Valley Junior High Auditorium has been canceled. It will be rescheduled at a later date.

According to County officials, the cancellation was made at the request of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to allow additional time to analyze flood effects adjacent to Ahtanum Creek from South 37th Avenue downstream.
