The inspection wing of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced a Class II recall affecting various bratwurst, sausage and other meats.

House of Smoke, a company based out of Colorado, is recalling 144,000 pounds of various meat and poultry products because they contain soy lecithin, a known allergen. They are also misbranded.

The products that are being recalled carry the House of Smoke label. The exact list of codes and different types of meat can be found at the USDA website.

The problem was discovered during a usual USDA food safety assessment.

The USDA says that anyone with food safety questions can "Ask Karen," the FSIS virtual representative available 24 hours a day at AskKaren.gov or via smartphone at m.askkaren.gov. There is also a toll-free number 1-888-674-6854.
