May Day March Set For Tuesday In Yakima

Tuesday is May 1 and the Yakima May Day March is set for Tuesday morning at Yakima's Miller Park. The event begins at 11:00 a.m. at the park located at 513 North 3rd Street with speakers. Following the speeches which are expected to last about an hour people will march through the downtown area. The marchers are expected to march past the William O. Douglas Federal Courthouse and the Yakima County Courthouse before marching back to Miller Park. Organizers tell the Yakima Herald Republic newspaper the political climate could keep many people from participating in the march on Tuesday.
