The Seattle Mariners have now won five in a row. Today, behind the pitching of Hisashi Iwakuma, the M's shutout the Atlanta Braves 2-0. Iwakuma pitched seven innings, gave up six hits and no runs. Yoervis Medina pitched a scoreless eighth and Fernando Rodney pitched a 1-2-3 ninth to get his 16th save of the year. Cole Gellespie went 2-4 and hit a run-scoring single in the fourth scoring Robinson Cano, and Kyle Seager hit a run-scoring single scoring James Jones in the eighth for the Mariners two runs. Stephen Romero also had two hits for the Mariners who are now 31-28, three games over five hundred.

The Mariners now move on to play inTampa Bay in a four game series starting Friday. The M's have tomorrow off. Chris Young is on the mound for the Mariners Friday while former Mariner Eric Bedard is on the mound for Tampa Bay.
