After losing Wednesday to the Dodgers, the Mariners announced the team's 25-man Opening Day roster.

On the roster, the Mariners will have 12 pitchers and 13 position players.

The starting rotation will be Felix Hernandez, Jason Vargas, Doug Fister, Erik Bedard and Michael Pineda. The bullpen will consist of David Pauley, Brandon League, Chris Ray, Jamey Wright, Josh Lueke, Tom Wilhelmsen and Aaron Laffey.

In the infield, the Mariners will have Chone Figgins at third, Brendan Ryan at shortstop, Jack Wilson at second and Justin Smoak at first. Both Luis Rodriguez and Adam Kennedy will act at utility infielders. Miguel Olivo will start behind the plate, with Adam Moore acting as his backup. Jack Cust will be the designated hitter.

Seattle's outfield will include Ichiro Suzuki (right field), Ryan Langerhans (center field) and Milton Bradley (left field), with Michael Saunders acting as a utility outfielder.

Franklin Gutierrez (stomach gastritis), Matt Mangini (quad) and David Aardsma (hip) will begin the season on the 15-day disabled list, while Mauricio Robles (elbow) and Shawn Kelley (elbow) will be put on the 60-day DL.
