The Seattle Mariners called up Nick Franklin from triple A Tacoma. Franklin replaces Corey Hart on the roster. Hart was placed on the 15-day disabled list after he pulled a hamstring in Sundays win at Minnesota.

Franklin hit .125 during a seven-game stint with the Mariners earlier this season but has been tearing the cover off the ball with the Rainers.  He's hitting .376 with 14 extra-base hits in 30 games in Tacoma. .

He'll be in uniform for tonight's game in Texas against the Rangers. The M's will play the  Rangers for two games before returning home for a long 11-game home-stand, starting with Houston on Thursday at Safeco Field.
