VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — Vancouver, Washington, police and U.S. deputy marshals have arrested a 24-year-old man accused of stabbing a customer while robbing a credit union.

Timar Degraffe was arrested Wednesday. He was booked into the Clark County Jail for investigation of second-degree attempted murder and first-degree robbery.

Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp says a man walked into iQ Credit Union on Tuesday wearing a hooded sweatshirt. Kapp says an employee told the man to remove his hood but he demanded money and got an undisclosed amount of cash. When a male customer tried to intervene, the robber stabbed the customer in the stomach with a large knife.

Kapp says the wounded customer remains hospitalized. His injuries were described as not life-threatening. He was not identified.
