Man Who Murdered Wife Arrested In Past For Threats

Yakima Police say a murder suicide reported Saturday afternoon was the result of a argument between a couple with a history of domestic violence. The incident was reported at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday at a mobile home park in the 1200 block of West Washington Avenue.

A press release from Yakima Police says "a check of their involvement with law enforcement showed a domestic altercation between the two in April of this year.  At that time, Celso Ramirez-Navarete was arrested for assaulting Nancy Medina-Pimentel and threatening her with a firearm"

Police say children in the home at the time of the shooting were unharmed and contacted authorities. The couple was found in a bedroom both suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
