A 28-year-old man stabbed at a Yakima apartment on Tuesday is recovering at a Yakima hospital today. Yakima police arrested a 42-year-old man for first degree assault. Police say the stabbing happened during an argument at an apartment in the 2 hundred block of North 2 street. Officers found the victim on the floor of the apartment suffering from stab wounds. The suspect 42-year-old suspect was also found unconscious in the apartment. Police say the two argued and the 28-year-old man was stabbed. The suspect then overdosed on medications in the home and passed out. The victim is in a Yakima hospital. The suspect, who recovered after his arrest faces an assault charge today in county superior court. He is being held in the county jail.
