Imagine being shot multiple times and refusing to cooperate with police who are trying to help you. Yakima Police spokesman Mike Bastinelli says that was the case for officers who found a man suffering from multple gunshot wounds in front of a home on South 7th Street on Monday night. Bastinelli says the victim has been identified as 34-year-old Efrin Mendoza of Yakima. “I believe he has gang ties. So at this point there’s some gang involvement.”
Bastinelli says Mendoza was taken to a Yakima hospital where he’s expected to recover. Police don’t know what lead to the shooting or who shot Mendoza. The investigation continues Today
