A man convicted of robbing the U.S. Bank branch at Third Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard in Yakima in January was sentenced to eight years in prison in Yakima County Superior Court on Tuesday.

Forty-two-year-old Dane Andrus was arrested for robbing the bank, then leading police on a high-speed chase through Yakima that ended on Interstate 82.
According to court documents, Andrus admitted to the crime while in custody, telling officers he needed the money.
