Man Driving Pickup That Hit Children at Bus Stop Charged

SEATTLE (AP) — A man driving a pickup truck that slammed into children at a school bus stop outside Seattle has been criminally charged.

The Seattle Times reports 19-year-old Tanner Sypole faces three counts of vehicular assault and one count of reckless endangerment in connection with the April crash in Maple Valley.

Charging documents say Sypole lost control of the truck due to a seizure.

Sypole's driver's license was suspended at the time because his doctor couldn't certify to the state that Sypole had been seizure-free, charging documents say.

Six boys ranging in age from 11 to 13 were injured, three of them seriously.

It wasn't immediately clear if Sypole has an attorney. An arraignment was set for later this month and prosecutors are seeking a $25,000 bail.
