Yakima County Prosecutor Joe Brusic has a deadline to meet this month. Brusic is expected to announce his decision whether to seek the death penalty in the case of a man charged with aggravated murder in the March 26 deaths of two employees at the Moneytree business in Yakima. A judge has given brusic until July 15. Brusic says he's been busy studying information from the case "that not only sheds light on actions of that day but also who the defendant is." 26-year-old Manuel Verduzco of Selah is charged with the March 26 shooting deaths of Moneytree employees Karina Morales-Rodriguez and Marta Martinez. He's being held in the Yakima County jail without bail. Police haven't yet released a motive in the crime.
