Man Charged With Beating Girl For Getting Sick

LAKEWOOD, Wash. (AP) — A Lakewood man has pleaded not guilty to child assault after police say he severely beat his 2-year-old daughter for throwing up her oatmeal.
The 20-year-old Seaton Moore Jr. entered the not guilty plea on Thursday.
Officers say they were responding to an unrelated call Wednesday when they saw Moore hanging the toddler from his balcony. Charging papers say they found the girl in bed, shaking and covered in bruises with a swollen jaw.
Moore's girlfriend told officers Moore became so angry when the girl threw up that he took her to the bathroom and beat her.
Doctors at a children's hospital say she was covered in bruises in various states of healing, indicating ongoing abuse.
