A bank robbery suspect is in custody this morning. Yakima Police arrested the man Wednesday after they say he robbed the Central Valley bank branch at 40th Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard at about 2:20 p.m. Wednesday.

The man was arrested at about 6:40 p.m. at the Red Carpet Motor Inn on Fruitvale Blvd. Police say he was spotted by someone at the motel who thought he was the robbery suspect. Police say the suspect walked into the bank Wednesday afternoon handed a note to a teller demanding cash and walked out of the bank. no weapon was shown.
