Man Arrested After Saturday Fatal Crash

A 23-year-old man from California faces a charge of vehicular homicide after a crash Saturday morning that took the life of a 59-old-man from Prosser. Yakima County Sheriff's deputies say the crash was reported at about 7:40 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Mountainview Road and Old Prosser Road. Deputies say 59-year-old Macario Clara-Guevara was driving east on Mountainview Road when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle driving southbound on Old Prosser Highway. Deputies say the 23-year-old driver from California didn't stop at the stop sign in the intersection. He was not injured and arrested on a charge vehicular homicide. he's being held in the Yakima county jail Today.
