The 40th annual Vintiques Northwest Nationals car show is now open at State Fair Park. 700 shiny chrome covered cars and their owners are visiting Yakima today through Sunday. Dave Oldham from Kennewick is driving a 1955  Chevrolet showing it off in Yakima this weekend. Oldham says sadly the Vintiques club and the love of old cars may die out in the next 20 years simply because of the lack of young people being involved in the hobby. "When we were growing up this was our entertainment. Cruising and drag racing. Now kids are into computers and to much other stuff going on." Oldham says his car will be passed on to his grandson but he says not a lot of other young people are interested in the hobby. He believes that unless the love of old cars is passed on by family members the love of old cars may just rust out and die.  So hurry and take a look at the cars at State Fair Park.
