Long Lines For A Restaurant Short On Clothes

It’s always exciting when a new restaurant opens in town.  Cowiche Kitchen has been a big success in Yakima and there a couple more new spots in the works.  If it’s THE place to go you can expect a bit of a wait on Friday or Saturday night.  The last 40 minute wait for me was at Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Cue and it was worth it but I’m not so sure I would wait too long for this joint.

The London Telegraph says a place is opening up and it already has a waiting list of more than four-thousand people and it’s not even open! When it opens later this summer it will only be for a three month run starting in June.

How to describe it? Coat and tie required? Not so much, and in fact that is the best way to describe the required attire – not so much! This new place with the four thousand person wait list will require diners to take their clothes off in a changing room before being seated. Then, they'll get a light gown to wear on the walk to their table, where they'll have to take that off, as well.
The Telegraph says "tables will be partly obscured by bamboo screens, creating a semblance of privacy”.

Some places are the kind of places you go to be seen and this will certainly be one of those.  Tell the waiter I can put my napkin in my lap by myself, thanks.
