Discovery Presents Shakespeare

The Discovery Players will be performing their 14th Annual Shakespeare play on May 17 and May 19 at 7:00 p.m. Fifty students from 3rd to 8th grade will be performing the classic tragedy in the Discovery Lab gym using Shakespeare’s timeless language. The cast is assisted by numerous high school Discovery alumni who are providing director assistance, musical accompaniment, makeup, and light and sound assistance. There is free admission with a canned food donation for Northwest Harvest.

Yakima Children's Choir Spring Performance

The Yakima Children’s Choir will be joining the Yakima Symphony Orchestra, and the Yakima Symphony Chorus, for a performance at the Capitol Theatre on May 19 at 7:30 p.m. They will be singing Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana.”  This will be the Children’s final recital for the season.

McClure's Bombard Garden Getting A Spring Spruce Up

McClure Elementary School staff, students, friends, and families will be working in their Bombard Garden butterfly habitat on Saturday, May 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Highland High School horticulture students will be on hand as well. Anyone else interested in helping weed, trim, clean, spread mulch, etc., is certainly invited to join the group. Pizza and juice will be provided.
