Local Group Coming Up with Big Plans for Mill Site

Ron Anderson is the spokesman for the Yakima group called Millpark Imagineering Foundation and they have big plans for the former mill site along I-82.

Anderson says the group was formed to work closely with the city to make sure the site is developed into something that will benefit local folks and draw people from other areas. “We’re talking about theme hotels, water features, maybe a amphitheater and a science center.”

The group wants a mixture of education and entertainment at the mill site.

Anderson realizes it will be a long process but he says the group is determined to see the site developed in the near future.
