It's called Operation Tin Cup. It stands for those in need can you pitch in? It was a campaign of community activist Dale Carpenter for years before health problems forced him to retire. For the last 4 years Yakima resident David Mckinney has taken over and he'll begin his 4 days living in front of Wrays Family IGA at 56th and Summitview tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. "I'll be collecting donations of clothing, shoes, coats, toys and food. And we're hoping for cash so the food banks to buy food in bulk." All the donated items will be given to the Union Gospel Mission and the Yakima Salvation Army. Operation Tin Cup ends on Sunday at 8:00 p.m.
