The American Red Cross is our country's preeminent disaster relief organization. Whether it's a local family who's home was destroyed by fire, or a catastrophe on the scale of Hurricane Sandy, the Red Cross is there.

Lisa Reinhart, executive director of the Yakima Valley Chapter, talked about how our local chapter is sending their local emergency response vehicle to Manhattan to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, and how Yakima Valley residents can contribute to the relief effort, and the importance of donating blood.
