Lance Tormey Drives Yakima Fire Department Tiller Truck

The Yakima Fire Department tiller truck is an important tool for the department and I had a chance to drive the tiller recently.
The tiller truck can reach an 8-9 story building meaning it's a big help at industrial fires, the closest aerial trucks of this size are in Ellensburg and the lower valley.
A team of firefighters work the tiller truck that's used in many different fires and other incidents in the city. Its home is fire station 91 on North Front Street. And that's where I started my adventure.
