Yesterday we posted a story about the name “Donald” being significantly less popular now than it has been in the past.  Hugely less.  No surprise there however as Trump derangement syndrome rolls on at a fevered pace.

But if Donald is out, what’s in?  Good question with a strange answer.  Let’s set the irony – Donald is out because Trump is viewed by many as a real life villain.  The name that is most popular right now is the name of a fantasy villain.

The fastest growing baby name belongs to Kylo Ren -the villain in 2015's megas hit movie Star Wars:The Force Awakens.   Kylo is the son of Hans Solo and Princess Leia  and grandson of super villain Darth Vader. As a result of the success of the movie, the name Kylo has jumped 2,368 spots to number 901 on the list of most popular names.

The Social Security Administration released its annual list of the 1,000 most popular baby names for 2016 recently, and for girls, Emma was the top baby name for the third year in a row, while Noah was the top name for boys the fourth year in a row. (Daily Mail)
