Kids Will Love Scooping Dirt Next Month At Dozer Days

A big event in which kids can operate big machinery -- Dozer Days -- is set for next month at State Fair Park in Yakima. The event is being sponsored by Central Washington Homebuilders Association.

Executive Director Carly Faul says the event will include lots of big equipment like bulldozers, cranes, rollers and excavators.

"The kids actually get to get in the driver's seat with a trained operator and learn how all the controls work and scoop the dirt. They get to learn all about the equipment."

Along with the big equipment kids can explore tire and pipe crawls. The city and county will bring big equipment, too, as well as police and fire units. Tickets and information are now available at cwhba.org
