MAPLE VALLEY, Wash. (AP) — King County officials say four children have been struck by a pickup truck at a school bus stop in Maple Valley.
Two of the children were severely injured and were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
King County sheriff's officials say one other child sustained non-life-threatening injuries and the fourth was clipped by the vehicle and not injured.
The Kent Fire District says the middle school-age kids were at a bus stop waiting for their school bus when the driver of a passing pickup suffered a medical emergency and crashed.
Tahoma School District officials say six children were waiting at the bus stop for their transportation to Cedar River Middle School.
