A small fire outside of a dental office at the corner of 12th Avenue and Spruce was deliberately set according to fire investigators.

The fire started in the grass next to the office eventually moving to the side of the building, but no one inside or outside the building noticed the fire until a fire lieutenant spotted it.

Firefighters responded and limited the damage to some outside portions of the building as well as the landscaping around the building.

Officials arrested a juvenile in connection with the fire and that person was booked on first degree arson.

The fire did approximately $5,000 worth of damages.
