Jury Awards Pasco Plaintiff Wins More Than $36,000 After Neighbors Shot His Dog
PASCO (AP) — A Washington attorney says his client has been awarded more than $36,000 after his neighbors shot his English springer spaniel.
The Tri-City Herald reports that attorney Adam Karp says 56-year-old James Anderson of Franklin County, who is disabled, got what may be the largest jury verdict in Washington for the wrongful death of a dog.
The paper said the defendants in the case were Anderson's neighbors, who reportedly killed the dog while they were trapshooting and then tried to cover up the incident.
