Judge Says NO To Yakima Pot Shop — Dave’s Diary

No pot shops for Yakima. Today Yakima County Superior Court Judge David Elofson made it perfectly clear that the Happy Time store that opened temporarily last weekend did so without authorization or permit.  JAMAICA-CANNABIS-MARIJUANA-PLANTSJAMAICA-CANNABIS-MARIJUANA-PLANTS

Happy Time had been seeking a temporary restraining order to keep the city at code enforcement at bay.

The judge called the store’s legal effort sloppy and outside the rules of conduct.  After a brief hearing the judge shut down Happy Time’s request saying there was a lack of any evidence of harm to the shop and no reason to alter the city’s land use authority.
