Judge Denies Dismissal of Murder Charges

Yakima County Superior Court Judge Ruth Reukauf on Monday denied a request to dismiss murder charges against four people accused in the 2013 death of Yakima real estate agent Vern Holbrook.

Attorneys for the four defendants in the case had asked that all charges be dismissed against the four after the Yakima County Prosecutor wrote a letter accusing the judge of being biased in the case, according to the Yakima Herald-Republic.

Daniel Blizzard, Jill Taylor, Luis Gomez-Monges and Adriana Mendez are all being held in the county jail on murder charges in connection with the May 2013 killing.
