NEW YORK (AP) — John Fogerty feels a little weird about calling his autobiography "Fortunate Son," but he's taking a different approach to those words. Fogerty says the song "Fortunate Son" was a harsh look at the sons of rich families who escaped the draft during the Vietnam war or were sent to places that weren't dangerous. He says he calls his book "Fortunate Son" because he has been very fortunate in living his dream to make music. He says that's his take on the phrase now. Fogerty's book will come out in October.
