It’s Day 2 Of Yakima City Manager Interviews

The search for the new Yakima City Manager continues today. The four finalists began their first day of interviews on Thursday taking questions from three panels . The city leaders wasted no time asking the finalists about Yakima's pressing issues like crime and the challenges ahead with a shrinking budget. The finalists also answered questions from two other panels: one made up of community members and the other city department heads. An evening reception at the Yakima Convention Center gave the finalists a chance to speak to city leaders in a more informal setting.

Interviews will resume today, with one-on-one meetings between individual council members and the finalists. The city hopes to name a new city manager within the next month.
